Dr. Jay Margolis graduated from the University Of Tennessee College Of Veterinary Medicine in 1989. He completed an internship in companion animal medicine and surgery at the Veterinary Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in 1990.
After acquiring multiple animal hospitals in Virginia and New York from friends and colleagues retiring, Dr. Margolis co-founded Veterinary Innovative Partners.
Dr. Margolis is dedicated to moving forward the veterinary community and does so by being an active member and immediate past President of the Virginia Veterinary Medical Association.
As Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Hope Center for Advanced Veterinary Medicine (a multi-specialty hospital, Vienna, VA), he led the creation of a second location in Rockville, MD, and the subsequent sale of both sites to BluePearl Veterinary Partners. Dr. Margolis brings his expertise as an owner and entrepreneur to Veterinary Innovative Partners.
Dr. Margolis is a partner in ExPrez Realty, LLC, a company with real estate holdings in the Las Vegas metropolitan area, giving him a diverse skill set as a business owner.
When not working, Dr. Margolis enjoys spending time with his wife, two daughters, and their dog, Connor. He enjoys golf and scuba diving. He also enjoys keeping and maintaining tropical and marine aquariums.
