VIP taps ex-QualDerm Partners exec for C-suite role

Nashville-based Veterinary Innovative Partners has announced the appointment of Matt Earnest as chief financial officer.

A release does not note whom Earnest replaces in the C-suite role at the company, which oversees a nine-state network of veterinarian-owned and -operated animal hospitals.

Prior to joining VIP, Earnest served as the chief financial officer at Brentwood-based QualDerm Partners, a multi-site dermatology physician management company. During his tenure, he provided oversight for finance and accounting, revenue cycle management, payer contracting and supply chain functions. His background has offered a focus on privately held physician management companies.

“[Earnest] brings a wealth of finance and accounting expertise that uniquely positions him to contribute to the strategic growth of our organization,” Chris Bishop, VIP CEO said in the release. “Matt’s track record in driving financial success within complex health care environments underscores his proven leadership and business acumen. We look forward to leveraging his knowledge and background as we fortify our network of veterinarian-owned-and-operated hospitals and capitalize on our next phase of growth.”

Veterinary Innovative Partners’ network includes more than 40 hospitals in Tennessee, Florida, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Virginia and West Virginia. In addition to Bishop and Earnest, the local VIP leadership team includes six individuals, the company website notes.
